About
We are Daniel and Karrah Darling. We are sent from Salem Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC and we are serving with Baptist Mid-Missions in Cleveland, OH. We both graduated from Piedmont Baptist College and Graduate School in Winston-Salem. When we joined BMM we were raising support to go to Venezuela as missionaries. Daniel grew up in Venezuela. His parents have been missionaries in Venezuela since 1981. After 3 years of deputation we boarded a plane on the way to Costa Rica for language school. After three month intensive course, we boarded another plane to Venezuela
Once we got to Venezuela we jumped right into ministry. Daniel had several opportunities to preach in local churches and youth groups. He was also able to start teaching a class in the Bible Institute. Karrah traveled with him even though there were break outs of Dengue Fever and many cases of H1N1. God protected us.
Basically, from the time we set foot on Venezuelan soil we worked on getting visas. However, we found out that Venezuela is not giving visas. So sadly we had to pack our bags and go back to the States. Since we have been back, Karrah gave birth to our first child, Hannah Raquel. She is such a blessing. It is amazing how many things one can learn about God by having a child.
Once we got back to the States we had to start the process of finding which field we were going to go to next. There is such a need around the world and so many places that we could fit into. I started to ready about unreached countries and realized that God was calling us to reach those people. Spain is the least evangelized Spanish speaking country in the world. And right around Spain are countries that are much less evangelized. There is a great need for church planting and we are eager to get involved. One can travel through cities and towns and not find a single evangelical church. This is a sad statement because it means that there are many who will go to hell because nobody has shared the gospel with them.
Our goal is to be involved in Church Planting, and Theological Education. Currently we are working on our visas to be able to go to Salamanca, and help out in the only independent baptist church there. The church is actually located in Santa Marta de Tormes. We will be working along side of Kent and Belén Albright and Tim and Pam Darling. Lord willing we will be getting our visas soon and then we will be on our way.

Due date is March 27th. We have heard that the higher bpm is typical of girls but we have known some kids born at Salem that have had higher bpm than their sisters. I guess we will have to wait and see.
